Purpose
The Continuous Improvement Analyst plays a critical role in support of operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts across the global landscape. This position involves significant collaboration with finance, plant leadership, and support functions to effectively analyze compile and “package” projects, data files, presentations in support of existing improvement execute cross functional and projects for review to Senior Leadership. In support of the CI office, support the development of improved methods and processes while supporting plant adherence to methods, budgets and improvement. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in accordance to with existing PMO practices involving high degrees of communication, data analysis, presentation preparation across several support platforms including SmartSheets, Excel, financial software and other support tools.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Collect review and manage the results of plant driven projects while maintaining files and systems used in the development of report out presentations to Senior leadership – under the direction and tutelage of CI team guidance. Maintain develop and manage as appropriate trackers, files and presentations.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to production performance, quality metrics, and Scrap/waste and production performance metrics. Utilize statistical tools to interpret data and provide actionable insights, recommendations or error proofing as required.
- Collaboration: In conjunction with CI team, work closely with Site Directors, Finance professionals, technical staff, and other support resources to support tracking of projects, impact, opportunities and overall adherence to established methods.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on improvement initiatives, project outcomes, and performance metrics to management and stakeholders utilizing established files, systems and presentation norms.
Education and/or Experience
- Technical degree (BS) in Engineering, finance, Computer Science, or Business in a manufacturing/converting industry.
- Previous experience (3-5 years) in manufacturing converting environment and Lean (Green or black belt) certified and solid project management exposure.
- Significant experience in All Microsoft suite products, SmartSheets (or similar), financial tracking software a must.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and operational excellence methodologies a plus.
- Excellent communication, ability to grasp concepts quickly and work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel to plant sites and desire to grasp higher levels of technical, lean, and change management skills.
