Purpose

Nelipak maintains a 60-year history of innovation of cleanroom manufactured custom thermoformed medical packaging, designed to meet medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers’ most stringent packaging requirements. Our experienced in-house design, development, prototyping, manufacturing, and quality teams offer medical trays and blisters, surgical procedure trays, pharmaceutical handling trays, custom built sealing machines and other value-added services.

The Data Analyst is responsible for the development, validation and standardization of the data & analytic tools across the enterprise

Reporting to the Product Data Team Leader, the Product Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining product specifications that are accurate and representative of each customer’s specific requirements as well as Nelipak Healthcare Packaging Derry’s (NHPD’s) manufacturing capabilities. Design and purchase job specific tooling for use in the manufacture of our product portfolio and maintain complete and accurate records of product specification history.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate internal reporting and data & analytics tools using Power BI and SQL.
  • Enhance and update existing reporting and data & analytic tools.
  • Provider user support for Power BI reporting tools.
  • Work cross functionally across the enterprise to perform business analysis and develop data strategy. In addition, understand context, gather requirements, and provide recommendations to business.
  • Participate in data validation and quality assurance testing as well as data health analysis.
  • Develop data transformation processes, including data cleansing, normalization, aggregation, and enrichment to prepare data for analytics and reporting.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing, optimizing query performance, and improve overall data pipeline efficiency.
  • Lead database enhancement and data cleaning initiatives.
  • Partner with FP&A to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: e.g., automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.

Data Visualization

  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles, best practices, and design aesthetics.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advance reporting, analytics, dashboards using Power BI.
  • Perform data analysis and validations.

Project Management

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project goals, scope and deliverables.
  • Create project plans, tasks, and timelines.
  • Conduct meetings, provide progress reports, and manage expectations to ensure alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans to address potential setbacks.

Master Data Management

  • Define process to enhance data management and control
  • Management of new and historical data
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related field.
  • Design experience and utilization of design tools such as SQL, Power BI Microsoft Certified
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • 5 years in a similar or equivalent position in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing reports in Power BI with large, complex, and/or fragmented datasets.
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation to drive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with SQL and database administration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities performing data cleansing, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Understanding of financial concepts and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience optimizing data pipelines, architecture, and data management.
  • Prior experience architecting/developing relational databases a plus.
Additional Notes
  • Travel requirement up to 10% with some international travel required.
