About the job…Change Notification Specialist
The Quality Engineer – change specialist will be responsible for the oversight of Europe customer-facing change initiatives driven by supplier changes, Nelipak procurement costing supply chain strategies, Regulatory or internal process improvements.
This includes effective application of project management methodologies to ensure seamless communication, cross-functional alignment, and timely execution of change notifications and support to customers throughout the change process.
This role, as part of site QMS change procedures, will partner with site functions as appropriate (e.g. Quality, R&D, Procurement) supporting Europe manufacturing sites effective and compliant change execution.
The role will partner with corporate change SME in seeking opportunities to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the Nelipak change process impacting customers through e-tools, community of practice and reporting oversight. Your duties include, amongst others:
- Co-ordinating and supporting, with applicable site SQ/Quality Leader, local site supplier change requests and proposed Nelipak change requests and communicates to internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive and execute change processes that are led by Quality while utilizing best practice processes, tools and governance structure to enable the delivery of equal or improved quality, timeline and cost to the bottom-line without disruption to supply.
Including but not limited to:
- Supporting Director of Procurement in helping to organize, plan, and track changes including but not limited to analyzing change timeliness, closure and customer responsiveness.
- Collaborating with other functions to gather necessary information for planning of change notifications such as impacted customer part numbers, customer contact information, technical risk assessments, and customer change agreement information.
- Leading stakeholder/steering team meeting to discuss and agree notification approaches such as timelines, how to handle anticipated customer requests, required technical data to support the change, etc.
- Engaging the required subject matter experts on drafting of customer communications.
- Collaborating with the local site SME/QMS monitoring email inbox that customers are directed to, and triages customer queries to the appropriate department(s) for response, and ensures customers are receiving timely responses and executing their actions to agreed timelines.
- Reporting progress back to steering team, coordinating follow-up formal communications when required, and documents customer approvals.
- Escalates internally as necessary to ensure customers and internal stakeholders are getting adequate support.
- Create and manage Nelipak Europe change forum and trackers related to customer change.
- Complete & deliver monthly scorecards for changes to key internal & external stakeholders in a timely manner (e.g. Management review forums, procurement function).
- Partners with local site functions and relevant QMS to ensure submission of relevant evidences/records are triaged to site QMS change record.
Additional duties:
- As an SME for change management, be an active part of Nelipak corporate change process community of practice (COP) with a view to drive continuous improvement to the Nelipak Change Process and monitoring/ reporting capability.
- Partners with the Director of Procurement in helping to organize, plan, and track procurement VCI’s (value creation initiatives) and other related changes.
- Assists Europe Supplier Quality team with various other tasks such as sending out supplier surveys and information requests, supplier capability analysis, risk management and mitigation (supplier business continuity planning), contract management, and supplier performance scorecards.
- Partnering with the SQ function support procurement to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the sourcing and procurement process.
- May be assigned specific projects to ensure effective implementation and embed best practices of Nelipak QMS.
- Ensure ZERO Internal or External Audit Findings are identified in your change portfolio in regards to Audit activity.
Have you?
- Bachelor’s degree in academia e.g. science, engineering, quality or equivalent/related subject. [essential]
- 5-7 year’s experience working in Quality, operations or supplier/purchasing controls related work experience in a regulated industry (e.g. Medical Device, automotive, aerospace. Electronics Med Device preferable). [desirable]
- Knowledge of SAP an advantage. [desirable]
- Experience in working in a packaging manufacturing background. [desirable]
- Demonstratable aptitude for providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to be the voice of Quality when dealing cross functionally, will take the lead discussions/meetings to ensure the correct outcome.
- Self-starter with ability to exhibit efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills and to handle multiple tasks.
- Builds strong relationships by fostering open communications, respect and trust.
- Excellent communication skills, always professional representing Nelipak to our customers, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of medical device QMS, packaging and associated regulations such as ISO13485 and ISO11607, advantageous.
