Purpose

Nelipak, Elsham has an opportunity for a motivated CONVERSION RUNNER to join our Finishing Department. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of manufacturing. As part of the role, you’ll be driving a Forklift Truck (FLT) – so a valid FLT license is essential. If you’re ready to bring energy, commitment, and teamwork to a business where every role makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Trim waste removal and waste bag replacement
• Removal of waste skips to be emptied in compliance with company procedure
• Operation of bailing equipment for laminate waste
• Cutting of cores to exact specification (core width / condition)
• Identification of production material for slitting lines
• Collection of material from storage locations and location transfer
• Stock level assessments and replenishment identification
• Transfer of materials from slitting locations to W/H (Scanning)
• Operation of Rewinding machines in accordance with policies and training procedures.
• Supply to the slitters of operating consumables prior to production requirements
• Maintain clean working environment (clean as you go)
• Slitting support for operational enhancement

Runner preparation requirements:

• Tools (identify all tools to complete task list)
• FLT training / refresher training
• SAP familiarisation training
• Bailer training and safe operation procedures
• Waste segregation training
• Core cutting safe operation & quality training

Working Pattern:

• Working Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 days / 2 nights), 12 hours shift with 1 hour paid break – average 42 hours per week
• Overtime is available and is paid at 1.5
• Bank Holidays are paid at 2.0
