About the job…Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst
The Cost Accountant / Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Americas based sites with cost analysis & control, variance analysis, inventory management, budget & forecasting support and overall process improvement.
- Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
- Collect and analyze data regarding Nelipak’s operational costs and report out on operational KPIs.
- Setting standard costs of manufactured goods.
- Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
- Advising executives and upper management on appropriated costing based on financial data.
- Managing the company’s balance sheet inventory accounts and perform inventory reconciliations.
- Report on breakeven points by products, cost centers and sites.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts investigate cycle counting variances and resolve discrepancies.
Cost Analysis: Assess and analyze the cost structure of the business, including production expenses, overhead and inventory valuation.
Budget Preparation: Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and aligned with organizational goals.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular reports on cost efficiency and profitability, providing insights to management for informed decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with other accounting and financial team members, department heads, to support financial planning and operational improvements.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct regular audits to ensure proper valuation and reporting of inventory costs.
Have you?
- BS Degree (Accounting/Finance) or equivalent
- CPA +
- Strong commercial awareness is essential
- At least three years relevant finance experience, industry experience preferred
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
- Ability to multitask
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communications kills
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, and other MS applications
- Ambition and a willingness to take on new assignments and responsibilities
