Purpose
The Cleaning Team Leader will lead a team of cleaners on site who will be responsible for the cleanliness of the Nelipak Healthcare Plant Derry and associated facilities. They will be expected to carry out a range of associated duties such as planning, auditing, scheduling and stock taking, they will be required to order stock as required. The Team Leader will report to the Contractor & Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day cleaning function to ensure all team members are managed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, schedule and directing the work efforts of the team.
- Planning/ Completing Audits and recording same. Establishing / maintaining cleaning schedules.
- Planning / maintaining shift rotas ensuring shifts are covered for holidays and absences.
- Coaching & mentoring, providing development programs, overseeing disciplinary & grievance, absence management, investigations and performance appraisals.
- Reception Cover for breaks and holidays
- Weekly Stock Checks for cleaning & relevant office consumables / materials
- Training: Ensuring training is kept updated for the cleaning team to meet company target / goals.
- Training plan(s) in conjunction with training coordinator for site
- Establishing / creating training documents i.e., JSA’s for relevant cleaning tasks, equipment use and relevant procedures.
- Stores organisation and maintain same through the team.
- Sustainability: Support function for Facilities Manager on upcoming projects as part of the Global Drive to save energy.
- Waste: Support function and hands on involvement on future waste stream projects & initiatives as part of the H&SE team that has been established in line with new Renew ELP drive for waste.
Education and / or Experience
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years’ supervisory/management experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Evidence of using initiative to improve Performance and Health & safety compliance, demonstrating your leadership ability.
- Willingness to undertake rotational shifts with varying patterns dependent on business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Criteria:
- SAP knowledge / experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement.
