Purpose

An opportunity exists for a full-time, permanent, Key Account Manager, to join our state of the art plant in Clara, Co Offaly. Responsible for the coordinating & Planning, Product Engineering and QA activities to provide the required products and services to the Customer in the agreed time-scale and to the agreed Quality standards.

 

Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly Sales forecast update – Analyse customer forecast demand and provide Financial impact summary versus Budgeted targets.
  • Agree inventory and production levels for key Customer controlled suppliers, ensuring plant inventory is maintained within target levels.
  • Where inventories rise beyond agreed levels, negotiate a financial remedy to ensure company cash-flow remains unaffected. (examples 3rd Party inventory / Sale & buy-back).
  • Closely monitor inventory aging and obsolescence, and ensure write-off, disposal, and charge-out to Customer where necessary.
  • Provide Customer with full obsolescence details including Quotation for approval. Obtain Customer purchase order and ensure inventory write off and billing.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and prepare Business case proposals for Customer and internal approval.
  • Ensure new SKUs are costed in line with agreed pricing models
  • Provide costing models for all new Kit iterations and new assembly or inspection processes, ensuring targeted margin levels are achieved.
  • In collaboration with the Customer, review raw material costs and agree on any proposed material changes.
  • Provide the customer with Quotations for any activities not included in regular pricing models (example: validations / qualification etc).
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:
  • Excellent working knowledge of applicable Regulatory Standards
  • Experience working in finished product-manufacturing areas.
  • Experience managing controlled documents.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Experience of working in a best practice operational excellence environment, preferably with implementation experience (e.g. lean or six sigma techniques).
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills are a prerequisite for the successful candidate
  • Ability to prioritise work independently
  • Strong project management skills and presentation skills
  • Reliability / flexibility
