About the role
Manager European Lab Services – Netherlands (Venray) and Ireland (Clara)

As Manager European Lab Services, you are based at our Clara location and are responsible for validation activities in both Venray and Clara. One of your key responsibilities is achieving ISO 17025 accreditation for the validation laboratory in Venray.

This role will require up to 20% travel and to regularly represent Nelipak at trade fairs and industry-related events. In your role, you develop new validation methods, invest in modern laboratory instrumentation, and maintain strong relationships with customers and external partners. Your contribution directly supports safe, reliable, and high-quality medical packaging.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing the validation teams in Venray and Clara
• Achieving ISO 17025 accreditation for the validation laboratory in Venray
• Set up clear KPIs and performance steering for the lab
• Planning and coordinating customer projects and validation lab activities
• Developing and improving test methods and protocols
• Performing chemical and polymer analyses
• Maintaining customer relationships and preparing quotations
• Representing the validation lab at trade fairs and in marketing activities
• Initiating improvements and investments in equipment

• A completed degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a validation environment
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams across multiple locations
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 and experience with accreditation processes
• Knowledge of ISO 11607
• Proficiency in statistical tools such as Gage R&R and affinity with polymers and packaging processes
• A proactive, results-driven mindset and excellent communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally and externally
