Purpose
Nelipak Elsham – a leading flexible packaging business has an excellent opportunity for an organised and dedicated individual to permanently join our team! We are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician
working 4 on/4 off (2 days/2 nights).
Purpose of the role- To provide support to the factory Quality System as directed by the Quality Manager/Quality Co-Ordinator
Responsibilities
- Re-work material that has been quarantined from previous 24 hours;
- Support the volume coming off the 3rd Slitter running medical;
- Support the release of medical products that will be supplied direct from Extrusion;
- Carry out internal Quality audits of the quality systems including product, 5’s, hygiene, glass and Insects audits;
- Supervise quality records and retained samples;
- Organise materials in quarantine, maintain records, and notify relevant personnel;
- Control of positive release;
- Generate / control process control check sheets from the customer / internal specifications for lamination;
- Carry out material analysis for product development and corrective action investigations;
- Perform and report product inspection / testing for:
- Materials in Quarantine
- New materials / development
- Others as directed
- Input non – conforming material information on to the computer for reporting purposes;
- QA Administration work as assigned including Filing;
- Other projects as assigned including WCM;
- Assist in all Quality Areas Cross – Functional;
- Any other tasks commensurate with the role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience within Quality Assurance
- Be willing to learn new skills
- Good observational skills required along with good attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels
- Team Player self-motivated
- Assertive with a dynamic positive “can do” attitude
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
