About the job…Quality Technician

Our Quality Techs are responsible for Visual and dimensional inspection of breather bags, pouches, slit/printed Tyvek material and lids/sheets during first articles and validations activities including associated value-added packaging operations. Responsible for data entries from thickness, dimensional, final, raw material and visual inspection data. These inspections are documented and communicated to quality engineering personnel and management to maintain superior quality and efficient/productive processes. Clerical duties include maintenance of daily inspection first article and validation records and helping to manage the retention samples process.

Your duties include, in addition to these and others:

• Visual inspection and dimension inspection using tappi chart and calibrated ruler in all stages of the product (incoming, in process, final, prototypes, and validations)
• Follow up to processes not meeting requirements
• Understanding of QA drawing, Customer drawings, In Process checks, Quality notification defect codes, Work Instructions, SOP
• Actively monitors and maintained the product data collection processes for FAI and Validations
• Assists in investigation of customer feedback and disposition of reject material
• Assures timely disposition of non-conforming material & closures of NCM’s
• Must have the ability to work as a leader and communicate effectively of issues that arise from daily trouble shooting, new projects, etc
• Performs cross training of personnel in QA functions
• Assist in maintenance & control of Quality Management System documentation
• Assist in the training of picker/packer, tender as needed basis
• Performs other assignments or duties as deemed necessary by the Quality Assurance Manager

Have you?

• 2-5 years of quality experience.
• Formal Training in procedures/ ISO, Inspect methods and techniques.
• Troubleshooting and corrective measures in team with manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills working with employees at all levels.
• A willingness to cross train between Inspectors, picker/packer, etc. as needed
• The ability to perform clerical maintenance of Quality Control Checks, pack –out forms, and visual aids forms and Retains pieces for all customers, Batch history file
• Willingness to provide training to pickers/packers on pack out process, visual aids, re-work or sort activities, and other activities like WI or procedures, quality information, etc
• Control of non-conforming product and other rework or sorting activities
• Strong basic math aptitude: Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
