Purpose

The Strategic Account Director will help to grow Nelipak Healthcare Packaging with defined Global Customers and will have a clear strategic plan for sales growth. Is responsible for effective communication and interaction with all key stakeholders and is required to build strong relationships with senior level executives across all functions externally.


Responsibilities
  • Manage defined Strategic Accounts to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Prepare and own achievement of annual sales budgets.
  • Reports monthly on sales vs budget at several key levels.
  • Review, analyse and report on current pipeline activity.
  • Highlighting key wins and losses as well as new opportunity development
  • Work with colleagues to create, move and close opportunities through the pipeline to achieve long-term growth, based on customers’ development plans and close on
  • Conducts one-on-one meetings with customers to build more effective communications, to understand better customer requirements and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and customer service performance and thereby develop an understanding of custormer’s strategic aims.
  • Communicate with global colleagues to ensure coordinated management and development of global Strategic Accounts.
  • Coach commercial team members on action plans for growing the business and relationship with the Strategic Accounts
  • Develop & align pricing strategy and support account management staff in providing accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports created for the defined Global Account.
  • Maintain customer records and document activity through the use of the CRM system.
  • Works with Nelipak sustainability director to identify and execute strategic account sustainability plans
  • Complete periodic sales analysis, update on market and account trends, and recommend appropriate remedial action to ensure achievement of pre-set objectives.
  • Support the management of credit days to control bad debt exposure.
  • Work with finance team to monitor and track profitability at several levels and execute improvement plans
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

Education and / or Experience
  • 3rd level (Bachelors degree or equivalent) in Commercial or Business related discipline
  • Min 2-3 years Technical Sales/3-5 years Sales Management (Med Device/Pharma sectors preferred)
  • Sales Management and/or Strategic account management
